What counts as a record?
A record is one row of data returned by the API. A call that returns 200 games costs 200 records; a single-item lookup costs 1. Every request costs at least 1 record, and every response tells you where you stand via X-Quota-Used and X-Quota-Remaining headers.
What happens when I hit my monthly quota?
Requests return 429 with your reset date until the quota resets on the 1st of the month (UTC), or immediately after you upgrade. Nothing is billed automatically — there are no overage charges.
Do plans limit which sports I can use?
No. Every plan — including Free — covers every league and market: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, DFS, Kalshi, and Polymarket. The only difference between tiers is monthly volume.
How do upgrades and downgrades work?
Switch plans any time from the billing portal; Stripe prorates the difference. Your new quota applies as soon as the switch lands — usually seconds.
Can I use the data commercially or redistribute it?
Yes. Every plan — including Free — allows commercial use and redistribution of the data. Enterprise exists for custom volume, SLAs, bulk historical exports, and dedicated support.
